Our Constitution says all teams making the playoffs get their money back. I would like to return to this format rather than trending to winner take all.
As it is today, winning the play in matchup(10v7,9v8) is detrimental. You get a worse draft pick, and face the top team who probably is stacked.
This can be a lower priority discussion, as the interest in it likely depends on other adjustments. (I.e. if we adopt roster limits such that it is easier to compete with top teams this becomes less important)

It’s a 16 team league. We shouldn’t have the 9th and 10th teams making the playoffs.
Playoffs should be 1-8 or even 1-6.
The rest of the teams should compete for draft pick position. Either in one big bracket or two smaller brackets. I prefer one big bracket. It encourages all teams to really push for the postseason.
I have also seen set ups where winner of an 8 bracket play for the #1 draft pick. After that pick, draft order slots by final record. Creates a nice balance of reward for teams close to playoffs and helping rebuilding teams. It definitely would make the non-playoff bracket very exciting.

When this topic comes up we can discuss more, but I don't count the losers of the play-in as making the playoffs... So would pay something to 8 teams... Not 10
I like the idea of all non playoff teams playing for #1 pick and after that it is by final record. This it does reward trying to make the playoffs, but just missing.

While discussing payouts -
I strongly feel that each slot should win a different amount and games should be played to determine an actual order for 3rd through 6th place (or 8th).
