Following feedback from GMs, the 2021 draft will be based on the order used in 2020 (ie, the standings as arrived at by the 2019 season), with the exception that it will be in snake format. Odd numbered rounds will follow the order below, with even numbered rounds taking the reverse.
This, I feel, allows for the best in terms of fairness and fidelity to the strength of teams without giving an undue advantage or 'double shot' at teams who have already received a top draft pick for their performance in 2019 getting the first pick in every round again this year.

- Rosters will lock and trades will cease at midnight on 31st January, so complete any drops and trades by this point. They will remain locked until the end of the MLB auction, which will begin shortly after the completion of the draft, so ensure you have the spaces you require and the budget available to make the picks and auction purchases you wish to, and that your rosters are compliant.
- In the off-season all players signed to minor league contracts may be dropped free of contract penalties. Players signed to MLB contracts will be assessed at the usual penalties in the usual fashion.
- The draft will last as long as it has to - until each team has completed its picks, filled its minor league slots or decided to pass.
- The draft will begin on Wednesday 3rd February, to allow a couple of days after rosters lock and the trade deadline passes to process any last-minute trades and finalise the draft order.
