Update
The MiLB auction is now complete. Any promotions from the MiLB to the MLB roster must be posted below by 2359 on Saturday 23rd February, as rosters will lock ahead of the MLB auction on 24th Feb.

Hi all,
We're moving on apace, but I'm cognisant of the need to get things wrapped up to allow enough time for the MLB auction to be completed in time for opening day. We've been getting between a dozen and fifteen players decided each day for the past week, which would see us finish in around 7-10 days time. We can do a little better.
A couple of quick updates which will speed the process along, and some news on the next steps as we bring the auction to a close:
- From tomorrow (Saturday 16th) each GM will be allowed to have 3 nominations live, rather than the current limit of 2, at any one time.
- If a manager wishes to declare that they are done with the auction, they can post below to that effect. From that point onward, or once a GM reaches the limit of 15 won bids, they may continue to nominate players to help speed along the auction process by starting an 'open nomination' on a player, rather than a 'no bid'. Once you have declared yourself as done you may not bid on any player, so make sure that you're happy with your roster when declaring yourself out of the running.
- If you are approaching the maximum of 15 players you can also start an 'open nomination', if your existing live bid(s) would put you over the 15 player limit. Should an 'open nomination' player receive no bids, then the player will pass back in to free agency, unless he is nominated again.
- If you have won a player in the auction that you wish to be on your MLB roster to begin the 2019 season, you should post their name(s) below before the start of the MLB auction. Once the MLB auction begins, rosters will lock. You should bear in mind that you need a minimum of 10 minor leaguers to have a valid roster, so if you are 'promoting' a player(s) you need to have enough players in the minor leagues to make such a move.
- As each GM finishes their auction, I'd advise them to check the league spreadsheet just to double-check that a) the correct players appear on your roster, and b) that they have been assigned the correct bonuses. Again, any discrepancies should be brought to my attention as soon as they are spotted, as it may affect budgets for the MLB auction if I've made a cock-up or typo.
MLB Auction
There will be around a 24 hour pause between the completion of the MiLB auction and the beginning of the MLB auction to allow people to check the spreadsheet and confirm any MLB promotions. I'll advise GMs with a post in the MLB auction forum when they can begin nominating players as soon as I can.
I'd hope that we can get the minor league auction finished within the next week, which would allow 5-6 weeks for the MLB auction to be conducted, which should be sufficient given the larger bid increments of 250k, and diminished budgets available. Should the MiLB auction drag on, I may make a further announcement with the aim of bringing it to a conclusion.
Edit: see post update below. 4 nominations per GM, and nominations close at 2359 EST on Friday 22nd.
