Can we put a poll up to convert 1 RP spot to a P for this year since that seems to be the most innocuous and well-supported option?

Regardless of the results, it would certainly help for everyone to know how best to plan for the upcoming season, including minors-eligible players that could be drafted next week & called up on an owner's roster later this year.

So, can we do a poll on this, as the draft is nearly upon us?

Is the conversion of 1 RP to a P still on the table before the auction starts?

Would like to reopen this discussion and preferably have a formal vote about reconfiguring rosters to either convert two RP spots to P spots or add a 5th SP spot.

Having read through all the debate, there seems relatively little support for the adding of a roster spot, and not a huge amount for changing an RP to a P spot, and I agree with a lot of the reasons given from those arguing against.
The number of times that 5 SPs all come up on the same day, and where one of those doesn't also have RP eligibility to slot into one of those spots, is vanishingly rare. On the occasions it happens it simply creates a decision for the GM as to which player(s) to start. Not every SP starts in every available game anyway, based on real life matchup (road game at Coors or tough away game at the Dodgers, for instance) or indeed based on your individual matchup that week where you might be protecting a lead and wanting to avoid a potential blow-up start from a fringey SP.
Given the rarity of people having 5 starters on the same day and wanting to start them all, and of one of those starters not having RP eligibility anyway, I don't see the need to change an RP to a P slot. Having established that 5 on a day is a rare occurrence, all people would be doing with that P slot would be starting a reliever in it 98% of the time anyway for the chance to accrue extra points.
